National Liberty Museum

Through a compelling lineup of programs and exhibitions, the National Liberty Museum illuminates both the strength and fragility of liberty—as well as the inspirational stories of people whose positive actions protect and expand the boundaries of freedom for all.

Located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Old City, the NLM has four floors of permanent galleries and changing exhibitions. Our summer exhibition, Data Nation, opens June 2nd and our truth* exhibition closes July 4th.

NLM is dedicated to creating space for learning, reflection, and action. In programs for all ages, we provide the means, motivation, and opportunity to imagine and create a world built on shared civic values. From speaker programs to after-hours events to intimate workshops, NLM curates a rich, diverse line-up of thought-provoking programs and learning opportunities. For Wawa Day, we will have self-guided gallery exploration activities and visitors can give donations to ring the authentic replica of the Liberty Bell.
