Jefferson Community Day
Come out with your family to enjoy an evening of activities, field games, and more as Philadelphia celebrates 250 years of the United States. Enjoy free chicken fingers, fries, Rita’s Italian Ice courtesy of Jefferson, while supplies last.
Jefferson will offer a wide range of family-friendly, educational, and interactive activities centered on health, wellness, learning, and connection. Offerings will include hands-on health education, blood pressure screenings, a Teddy Bear Clinic to help children feel more comfortable in medical settings, cancer education resources, maternal and child health information (including safe sleep and car seat safety), nutrition education, a therapy dog visit, and giveaways including Herr’s Chips.
Attendees can also enjoy creative, student-led experiences such as arts and crafts stations, interactive design activities, and stamp-making. Thomas Jefferson University mascot Phil the Ram will make a special appearance—bringing energy to the event and reflecting Jefferson’s commitment to building healthier communities.
The Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Community Stage will feature performances by local artists Project Positive, Zay Money and MECE Municipal Choir, and hosted by Mr. Hollywood DJ.
