Free Museum Days: African American Museum in Philadelphia

Celebrate Juneteenth at the African American Museum in Philadelphia with a day dedicated to this year’s theme of “Rhythms of Liberation: Celebrating Juneteenth Through Music” Immerse yourself in the soulful rhythms and powerful melodies that have shaped Philly’s cultural landscape during our annual Block Party celebration and Free Museum Day.

Don’t miss our latest exhibition, “Imprint: Dox Thrash Black Life, and American Culture,” showcasing the pioneering work of Dox Thrash, a Philadelphian and master of Carborundum printmaking.

Last guests will be admitted at 4 PM and museum will close to the public at 5 PM.
